Summing it all up

I can't believe it is going to be November already! In a month we are going to be parents to an eight year old ...when the hell did that happen? My baby, my sweet little boy is going to be 8! My little innocent Ethan, who the other day said someone was a homo ( I thought I was going to die) Had to explain to him that it was NOT a nice word at all and we (in this family) do not judge people because how they choose to live their lives. He said "I didn't know it meant that, I'm sorry" note to self: watch what you say in front of your kids because it will come back to bite you in the ass sooner then later :0)

Back to my sweet innocent little boy, who wants a "grossed out" theme for his party. Of course "what baby wants baby gets" Jason said yes so here I go to order it. Its gross. It comes with this thing you put on your nose and it drips candy down into your mouth (snot) The pinata` is a nose with boogers. The plates have a kid with puke, trash can cups, the center piece is a toilet. EWW!

So to sum things up... in 3 months not only will we be broke (2 birthdays and Christmas) but we will be proud parents of an 8 yr old and a 2 yr old. Time flies. Cherish your kids and hug and kiss them everyday!

-79lbs

So on Saturday was my 8month Surgiversary! Not sure where 8 months went already but I am glad it did. I am officially down 79lbs with 23 more to go to my 2nd goal. My 1st goal to those that don't know as to be 199, that was one of my proudest moments. 23 more to go and I feel like a new person, still the fat girl but a new fat girl!

I still have issues with my self image but then again what girl doesn't. I talked to my friend that had it 7yrs ago and she said that you never get rid of the fat girl syndrome but you learn to cope with it better then you did before.

Well I am (in my head) still the biggest one in the picture, out with the girls and of course the heavy wife. But I know I am loved ... Jason said I am the incridable shrinking women. I love him! He has been my #1 cheerleader threw this whole process. Never walked away, or had anything negative to say. Always had my back. I thank him but I know not enough.

Well anyway...enough about me.... LOL!

4 Yrs ago today...

4 Yrs ago today...
I lost my mommy!

I miss her terribly!

I wish she could be here to see the kids. She adored Ethan! I know she would have adored Jocelyn, Kaylen & Ryan.

Sometimes when I am tired of people she would of been the 1st person I talked to about it.

She could make me laugh.

Weekends!

I love the weekends. They are my the best.

Yesterday we did some running around and then went scalloping with Jason. Or should I say he went and did all the work and I chased Jocelyn around.

Today, Jason is going to occupy the kids while I do the floors (YEAH) because we have a BBQ tonight with a couple of the Coastie on island. Of course our neighbors are coming and the Ard's who are great (they have a little girl Joce's age and one on the way) and then we have a couple from the other station coming over. They are young, have a baby again Joce's age and a new one on the way and she HATES the island (man don't I know how she feels.) SO I want to make it so she likes the island!

Nantucket is a beautiful little rock! Hard at times but it has so many things to enjoy about it. So not being from here it is not easy to get use to this place. I hated it when we got here the 1st time. I then grew to love it. I met the greatest friends, and had the greatest time. I hope I can change her mind. :0)

School...

Why does it cost so much to have an education? I have been back and forth with going to school for yrs and now I think I am at the wits end with it. I have all the info to go, talked to admissions, have the web site for financial aid, but do I submitt everything, NO...why you ask...

because when I break it down like this 120 credits are needed for my Bachlors in Business. $250 per credit. That is 30,000.00 and with 2 kids that are going to need more then that for school...what the hell right do I have going?

UGG.... dudes going to call me back on Tuesday.

Bath time.

See what happens when Ethan starts the bath and leaves the door open...THANK GOODNESS her dad was only steps behind her ...watching the devilish things she was up too.

Yes you see it right...Jocelyn Anne is in the bath with her fresh pj's on. . . . . she had already had a bath and dressed and ready for bed when she decided to hop in and give "baby" a bath....you can see "baby" between her and the tub wall.

:0) the joys of parenting!

FOOTBALL SEASON!!!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!

Ethan has started football and loves every minute of it. I think his dad loves it more. LOL! Jason has helped coach a couple of times. They Raiders won their 1st game 24-12, but lost their 2nd by a cheating time out call the last 2 seconds of the game..the other team scored and it was a complete upset!!

What a week...

My poor friends. I miss them so much and wish they were closer. This is her story:

So we were discharged from the hospital and on the way home on 17 south. A small plane carshed right in front of us and we were hit by all the debri and jet fuel. We are all ok...What a crazy week! I thought we were all about to die Here is the Gianna Story... I am so happy to have my baby home and in her bed. All I can say is, I cannot believe how quickly things can go down hill. Thank you to everyone that has kept Gianna in your prayers. We appreciate every one of them! So here’s the story…if you wanna read...its longFriday night, Gianna started having a fever, Saturday I gave her Motrin and she was fine. She woke up from her nap and she started having the “croup” cough, sounding like a seal kinda cough. She was having a little noise when she was breathing in and out so that concerned me and I decided to take her to the ER. I went to one that I normally do not go to…thinking that it might be a shorter wait time. I got there at 5:30 and didn’t get seen till almost 8:30. I was taken to the back where we sat in a chair for almost an hour before I had to call the nurse to have her check her oxygen level because I thought she was not breathing right. She was sleeping. But snoring really loud. She doesn’t normally snore at all. Well her oxygen was fine. They eventually gave her a breathing treatment (one that is normally given for croup, not like asthma) And they tried to give her a steroid by mouth and she may have swallowed a fourth of it, if that. 3 hours later…the doctor listened to her..said she sounded a little tight or wet but that her oxygen was fine so We were discharged at 12am. With a diagnosis of croup and a prescription for steroids. Took her home..put her to bed. About 2 hours later she was up crying and was making a lot of noise trying to breath. I took her to the bathroom with the hot shower running.., didn’t help…then outside to breath in some cool air…didn’t help. So I then decided to take her back to the ER..but I took her to the one I normally go to. I get there about 4-4:30am they register her and take her oxygen…still good. As she sits there struggling to breath. Then they take her right back the ER which was empty. The Dr took one look at her chest/stomach and said…she is very sick, she will be admitted. As they keep observing her, she is getting tired of struggling to breath every breath. Her heart rate was 202, She vomited and then She started to fall asleep and was becoming incoherent. They started calling for the pediatric crash cart and called the rapid response team. They called for the anesthesia team and then They had to put a tube down her throat before her body just gave up. They gave her 2 IVs and also a tube down her nose. Before I knew it she was being loaded onto a helicopter being transported to the children’s hospital in VA. Admitted to PICU at CHKD at about 7am. Where she was on a ventilator for the next 48 hours. They did a surgery where they put a scope down her throat to determine where the swelling was coming from. Tuesday morning they took the tube out and she has been breathing on her own since. They are now saying that she also has Pneumonia. She is slowly getting better and is waking up for short periods and drinking her milk.

Can you imagine...after watching your baby in PICU for 3 days, you are allowed to bring her home, and a flipping plane hits you....WTF!!!

Well Melissa and Walt, we love you and wish we could be closer to cupcake!! Thanks for letting her be in our life, being her god parents mean the world to us.
